Rock Music Memorabilia, in collaboration with collector Paul Brown, has produced a commemorative boxset, in a limited edition of 200 copies. These are numbered and signed by promoter Freddy Bannister.

It comes in an impressive red box (although this is slightly misleadingly labelled as Festivals 1969-1979) and contains all kinds of goodies.

The set includes the following:

  • There Must Be A Better Way – the excellent memoir by Freddy Bannister
  • facsimiles of the programme and flyer from the 1975 Knebworth Festival featuring Captain Beefheart
  • facsimiles of the programme and flyer from the 1978 Knebworth Festival featuring Frank Zappa
  • 10 pictures from the archives of collector Paul Brown of Captain Beefheart during his 1972, 1973 and 1980 tours and Frank Zappa at the 1970 Bath Festival
  • DVD entitled Spirit Of Knebworth

As an additional gift recordings of the following concerts, promoted by Freddy Bannister, are also included:

  • Captain Beefheart at The Albert Hall 23/3/72 (2cds)
  • Captain Beefheart at The Dome Brighton 29/3/72 (1cd)
  • Captain Beefheart at The Manchester Free Trade Hall 1/4/72 (1cd)
  • Captain Beefheart at The Knebworth Festival 5/7/75 (1cd)
  • Captain Beefheart at New Victoria Theatre 14/11/75
  • Captain Beefheart at Portsmouth Locarno 1/12/75
  • Frank Zappa at The Rainbow London 10/12/71

Note: these are all ‘stealth’ recordings and may not be sonically perfect. They are, however, pretty damn good.

Limited special offer – while stocks last!

A small number of t-shirts from Knebworth 1975 have recently come to light. Please ask for one (they’re free) when ordering the box set – Large and XL only though!

Se my other comments re this. All in all the best thing I have purchased this year and I don’t expect to get anything better either!!
Great value for money. This is not a cheep rip off, this is quality printing and sound quality (as good as can be expected from bootlegs and better than most of my other ones).
All posted to Tasmania in under a week and excellent communication from Wendy. 5 star package.
