Radar Station overview

With one gig already filmed (the Under the Bridge show from 2013) but not close to a release Stewart McGregor offered to record, film and edit the Lincoln concert along with interviews with the long term goal of also releasing it commercially. So now the band had two potential DVD products … and at one point with little chance of making them available! As we now know John French set up two Indiegogo projects to fund their release. And despite running concurrently was able to finance both of them.

So here we are with this one Magnetic Draw ( a two disc set) and the other DVD, Singing Through You.

The main Lincoln concert footage is interspersed with edits from the band interviews which may be an acquired taste for some viewers. It is however well filmed and the band are on fine form. With ten different songs (including rare outings for Clear SpotEllaguru and Grown So Ugly) plus the interviews Magnetic Draw it well worth getting and is a fine companion piece to Singing Through You. The Lincoln 2014 show also features new drummer Andy Niven.

A glossy insert lists all those fans who contributed to the funding of the DVD. But why isn’t there a set list included?

Neither of the DVDs are available through regular outlets but can be purchased online through Indiegogo. At least this way the band reaps all the benefits of the sales.
