Ha! Two legends collide! For non-comix fans, Justin Green’s “Binky Brown Meets The Holy Virgin Mary” basically kickstarted the “tortured autobiographical cartoonist” genre, more importantly it was the first comic book which DEALT with the subject of Obsessive/Compulsive Disorder, before it was even diagnosed by the DSM (do I have that right?).
Green is also married to underground legendary Wimmin’s Comix co-founder Carol Tyler; author of the masterpiece-trilogy “A Soldier’s Heart”, about her Dad’s experiences in WWII and her upbringing…
Someone should bring out a collection of Green’s Pulse! Tower Records comics. He’s a really nice bloke too and Carol is lovely.
Thanks so much for the post Mr. Peter Haines, much appreciated!
