Rare 1972 footage emerges

One of the most exciting pieces of footage of the band is the live version of ‘Click Clack’ filmed at the Bataclan in Paris in 1972 which was broadcast on the French TV show POP2.

It was known that more of the concert was filmed and a 30 minute audio of the concert has circulated amongst collectors for many years. This audio also includes a short interview with Don.

The question asked by all fans since has been ‘is there more footage of this Bataclan show somewhere?’

A few years ago I was told that no further footage existed in the vaults, only the ‘Click Clack’ clip survived. Well, that information would appear to be incorrect because on 31 May 2025 the French media channel Ina posted another piece of footage from the Bataclan show on their Facebook page. This showed the band storming through ‘Abba Zaba’.

It’s well worth watching if you are able. At present it only appears to be available on Facebook – here’s a link to the original post on the Ina page – https://www.facebook.com/Ina.fr/videos/1251169756431479

It doesn’t look like they have made it available on their website. But someone has made it available on Youtube :

So, is there more in the Ina vault?

I guess we’ll have to wait and see. This is the track list from the audio version so footage of these could still be lurking in the vault :

  1. bass solo
  2. Alice in Blunderland
  3. Abba Zaba
  4. Click Clack
  5. My Human Gets Me Blues
  6. I’m Gonna Booglarize You Baby
  7. Golden Birdies
