Baba 2010 is currently keeping Afro-Beat ablaze and vibrant in his home country, Nigeria. Unlike his hero, Fela Kuti, who infamously dismissed condoms as "unAfrican", Baba is trying to use his music to raise AIDS awareness in Africa. Performing 6 times a week, often for up to 6 hours a time in his own nightclub, Baba has a legion of local admirers and is currently looking to launch himself onto an international stage.

The 24 hour live broadcasts from New York-based WFMU feature an incredible range of programmes - from Irwin Chusid and Michelle Boulé's "Incorrect Music" show featuring their favourite outsiders to the "Secret Museum" which only plays music from 78rpm records, it's a superb listen and a mine of great, adventurous, pleasing, obscure, underground, forgotten or just plain odd music.
