Observatory Crest lyrics

Originally appeared on Bluejeans and Moonbeams

While the city was busy
We wanted to rest
She deiced to drive up to Observatory Crest
We just saw the concert and heard all the best
We went on a ride
We got outside
The sand was hot
She wanted to dance

We went ’round and ’round at Observatory Crest
Thought we saw flying saucers and all of the rest
Pawns in high Spain from Observatory crest

While the city was busy
We wanted to rest
She deiced to drive up to Observatory Crest
We just saw the concert and heard all the best
So the only thing to do
Was to drive up
And watch the city
From Observatory Crest

While the city was busy
We wanted to rest
She deiced to drive up to Observatory Crest
We just saw the concert and heard all the best
So the only thing to do
Was to drive up
And watch the city
From Observatory Crest

    1. Observatory Crest is actually a spot where people would “make out” and stuff. Kinda one of those spots from high school where people would take their high school sweethearts and the like out in Antelope Valley where Don lived for a time. Before smog overtook the valley, you could see all the way to Bishop. Wonderful place.

  2. Does any one know what concert they saw?

  3. I always thought it was ‘Pause in high space’. I guess ‘Pawns in high space ‘ would work too… Didn’t the Captain ever write this stuff down?! :)

  4. Reading through Dons lyrics theres a new meaning to where you can catch a glimpse of his life, the time and place of where it happened and what he was experiencing.
A mystical pocket in time still crisp today capturing an essence that sits in the atmosphere, forever alive.
    Oh, to have been there!
Makes you look at your now, not in nostalgia or longing, but truth, beauty and love. Thats all he ever sang about.
