One heck of a spectacular Lucas show. Did his solo thing on electric & the National steel (including "Sure 'nuff 'n yes I do), a duo w/Lenny Kaye tackling the Mothers "Who are the brain police?" Gary & Alan Vega did a bizarro number that I at first questioned and was then floored by.
And then the full band, who ripped the joint (including a riotous and rockin' theremin stint with Mike Edison). Standing ovations, big crowd, great day! All the individual Gods & Monsters really burned brightly. Super-impressed by drummer Billy Ficca (Television) and the young guy Joe Hendel on trombone & keys.
